This is specifically a pay2win server. There is a monopoly on SQI items, and although there is apparently a large community, they do nothing but afk, or run SQI dungeons. It is a shadow of it's former self. The game requires a ridiculous grind, and mvp cards/custom cards are in the shop, and you will NEED those cards to do the SQI dungeons, or you can buy a leech from the community for an obscene amount of zenny. The content is extremely locked, and has silly nerfs like arrow creation in fields

Playing for 12y, and its sad that it has become such a money grabbing game.If you are a new player, go somewhere else.Not worth it to start here.Everything costs real money, unless you farm for a few years to get equips or cards.Everything GMs add is expensive, and they don’t care; if it makes ppl donate. Server might go “poof” again, so they are doing the minimum to keep the server open, but the most to get donations. Players are the ones trying to keep the server open by fakerating positively.

New players are not incentivized to play here: Talontales's majority population are very old veterans who have been playing Talon RO for years. Literally 90% of the population have all the SQI they need, new players will have a very difficult time here. Garbage rewards: Anything talon-specific, however difficult and long it takes, will have garbage rewards, including the summer race. Non-existent progression: 60m kaho, then the next is a 320m sherwood. Seiren never bothered to address this

Dead server economy. MVP and valuable drop maps such as kraken, vesper and odin F2 are monopolized and overmobbed (check the vend name even). Even though GM was online at the time people made the complain but they ignore it. Avoid this server if you can.

I tried to come back, but like my friends we didn’t get back our gears (seems like they don’t care as long as you come back and donate more money) We played so many years. The GM is very arrogant and not really helpful. We had so good memories with this server 10 years ago but now I feel it changed in a bad way. It’s getting more toxic and we’re glad to be not part of this server anymore.
